One of the biggest fights of 2019 is finally upon us. The middleweight champion, Canelo Alvarez (51-1-2, 35 KO’s) will put his 160-pound titles on the line when he faces IBF champion Daniel Jacobs (35-2, 29 KO’s) this Saturday night in a middleweight title unification fight at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas live on DAZN!
Alvarez is coming off of his debut victory on DAZN, back in November, where he scored a third-round TKO over Rocky Fielding at Madison Square Garden. Jacobs is coming off of a split decision victory over Serhiy Derevianchenko back in October.
FanDuel has Canelo as the favorite (as of May 2), coming in at -650, meaning you need to bet $650 to win $100. Meanwhile, Jacobs comes in at +340, meaning if you bet $100, you would win $340.
THE FIGHTING VOICE’S PICKS:
“Jacobs and Canelo are relatively similar in terms of skill and power, but Canelo is quicker with the hands, which will separate him from Jacobs in the later rounds. If Jacobs can’t finish the fight early, Canelo will coast to the finish line and we ALL know he never loses on the cards.” – Geo Kocovic
“Canelo Alvarez by unanimous decision” – Gezim Camaj
“Canelo by unanimous decision” – Ben Kocovic
“Canelo tko in 10” – Frank Elezaj
“Canelo decision….” – Melvin Fernandez
“I think Jacobs takes this one. I think in the later rounds by tko” -Rocky Elezovic
“I like Jacobs, I feel he has the tools to beat anyone but we know that the judges love Canelo. I see Canelo winning by a very CONTROVERSIAL decision” – Mark Elezaj
Canelo 6 – Jacobs 1
